Problem.
Hello to all.
Yesterday i had to see an emergency optician because my new left eye had become blurred.
This was arranged by the Hospital i had the surgery at, after I phoned them for advice.
The optician carried out various tests and found i had a small Membraine on my new lens.
He said when things are back to normal i should go to my optician and to get me referred to
the Hospital so that i can have Laser treatment.
At the moment i have about three quarters vision in my left eye.

Re: Problem.
Best of luck with that Mike, As has been said a lot of us are grounded for 12 weeks, But that's not something you can ask for help with at home, And i have been told by Aintree hospital i go know where near the place for anything for the next 12 weeks, I also read in the letter that i can get the Anticoagulant team to visit me to do my bloods as i am on Warfarin, And with living in a one bedroom place if the wife shows symptom's of any kind there are grants available for a single bed if it comes to it apparently applications are made through the local council Good health Terry.

Re: Problem.
Very unlike my Laser Surgery i guess where when i had a detached Retina (Everything just started to go dark like a Curtain closing) rushed to Hospital and immediately had Laser Surgery .
When i awoke in the Hospital Bed i was black and blue like i had been in a Fight, they had i later heard removed the Eye out the Socket done the Laser thing and then put it back in the Socket!
No wonder i was so sore! Ouch!!

Re: Problem.
Yes indeed Victoria
That is what i was told after the Op, that if i had not got to the Hospital when i did , plus Minus 15 Minutes it would have all been No Go !! Blind in that Eye.
The entire Retina had virtually peeled away and was just hanging by the smallest of margins ! Very lucky indeed, as was my last scare with my Heart Attack, when i was rushed off at 4am in the Morning, they found 7 Blockages and i was like a dart board with things all over me ,i looked Terrible , but again the Finest Surgeon here in NSW did the Job ,and what a fine job too.
The things that we go through is amazing at times!
Cheers
I have a Pic but too gruesome to post on site!

Re: Problem.
I find my self betwixt and between.
The cataracts forming are not growing fast enough and will take some more time before they can be removed.
Floaters drive me mad at times so have some sympathy for Mike if he has difficulty in seeing correctly after what is now a very simple op.
Hang in there Mike, it will be fixed.

Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.
