    Hi Stan.
Good to hear you were sensible mate and went early to the Dr, when that happens the treatment is always successful. Look after yourself and we are all thinking about you. Just think what would have happened if you had been on the Builder and the Sipper had to do the op ha ha. that will cheer you up no end.
    Cheers Des

Well done you for not ignoring the signs. Good that you have had prompt diagnosis and now treatment. Best wishes for a speedy recovery, as has been quoted here modern treatments are amazing so I am sure you will be around for a long time yet....

Have you had your platlets checked? I would be asking to see a blood specialist, bruising like that needs to be properly checked.......no harm in asking is there?? Best wishes hope it is sorted soon. Seems like you have had more than enough to deal with.....

My sincere apologies I didn't mean to offend you. Having been in the allied medical field for 45yrs I am always alert when I hear of those sort of things. My father being a Pharmacist, an uncle a doctor and an aunt a nurse I guess it was just a concerned response.
Some of the things I have seen during that time... it is just as well the general public stays ignorant.
Hear you go "T cell" live for years, have several functions, but primarily mediate cellular immune response. They are made in bone marrow and mature in the thymus gland
One kind the "helper T Cell" affects the production of antibodies. Mosby's Medical Dictionary, so at least you have a better idea what they are now.
"Enzyme" a protein produced by living cells that catalyzes chemical reactions in organic matter( that take place in within the cells)
I am glad you have a good constitution and obviously a positive approach.
Keep those doctors on their toes, there are always new approaches coming out and some old ones people seem to have forgotten that work just as well
I also have bruising from time to time, and had to have blood tests, my doctor later said because of my occupation ( radiation) she was worried I had leukemia. I still get them and vessels such as yourself bursting mainly in my hands, no one knows what is the cause.... so carry on and deny seems to work for me.
    Cheers Vicki

I have the same issue, even light knocks cause very noticeable bruising very quickly, skin tears like tissue paper.

Skin does get more fragile with age unfortunately. It is the largest organ and usually does a sterling job protecting us doesn't it.
