wasn't expecting this.
haven't been on site for a while, first, the computer crashed and had to get another one. Then had trouble with the down loads to new one and the had to figure out to install a new password and such. But during this time I started showing blood in the Urine, one showing, then nothing, and again two weeks later, enough to take me to the emergency dept on a friday morning. after Urine, blood test an ultra sound it was enough for my doc to contact a specialist that day and set up an appointment for the next tuesday. A cat scan on sunday, an internal scope, pre op, and then the removal of the growth. All within two weeks. Today, got the results and found out it is cancer, but has not got into the muscle mass of the bladder. He feels it's caught early and treatable. So the treatment starts on the 19th july, unsure for how long, but it's not going to be a quick fix. Stay tuned.
regards, stan.

Re: wasn't expecting this.
The prognosis seems very good, Stan seeing you are obviously getting reasonably early and excellent attention. All the very best to you.

Re: wasn't expecting this.
Hi Stan,
I wish you all the best in your treatment. A lot of successful treatments these days.
Did you smoke?? Bladder cancer is one of the side effects of smoking.
My Dad had it in 1975 and had a successful operation.
Cheers
Brian

Re: wasn't expecting this.
I had the same a number of years ago and the camera up into the bladder revealed it was stones from the prostrate was the cause, thankfully.

Re: wasn't expecting this.
Sorry to hear your bad news Stan, although the dreaded word of the big C shakes you when first heard, they are doing some incredible treatments these days. My son has had cancer of the throat recently, massive operation, and 12 months down the line, fully fit. Sounds like you have detected it early, so that's good news mate, kt

My very best wishes Stan.
On the good side (as they say) it was diagnosed early and treatable.
Best of luck.
