Re: I had a visit to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary today, but I知 happy
Good news indeed Bill, my youngest son given the all clear after oesophagus cancer last week. I don't know if its standard practice everywhere, but where he is, after you get the good news, you go back into the waiting room, and ring a ships bell, to the cheers of all the other cancer patients present, kt

Re: I had a visit to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary today, but I知 happy
Keith. They do the same here. It must be universal I guess. Regardless, it's a grand thing. They did it last week for young teenager, and all the other patients and care gives gave a great cheer and clapping along with the cancer clinic's staff. Softy that I am, it brought a lump to my throat and a surreptitious brush of the eyes, after all being an ex-UCL cook I have to appear tough and ready for anything (poaching eggs in a Force 9 gale for example).
Well done to all who have battled this disease.
Good health, Rodney
