Re: Cataract Surgery
Hi Dave
Wish i could do similar mate, although i do have another few days for me next Eye exam, on the 30th of this Month, i dont know how long after that i will still have to wait, possibly six Months or so.
But i will not go and pay that amount for Private , as i feel its not right as you say you got the same Guy who would have been doing it free. (Good for you if you can afford it mate, i am happy for you)
I still am driving (now some 18Months since i was told i had cataracts) at times it is a bit blurry and i do take all care, but still get around.
Anyway have waited this long, so another six Months or so is getting closer!
Roll on time ! LOL

Re: Cataract Surgery
Hi Doc.
Sorry to hear about your cataracts.I dont
know how it works in your part of the World,
but here when you have been diagnosed with
cataracts you must advise the D.V.L.C. and your
insurance company. If you do not and you have
an accident, then you are not covered,I dont know
how the DVLC will react.Hope that you and Irene
are both keeping well, please give her my regards.
Dave.

Re: Cataract Surgery
Worth finding out if they have a cancellations list, if you can sign up -
it could benefit both you and them, if your fairly local and available
at short notice, pos could reduce your waiting time.

Re: Cataract Surgery
No chance of that here Keith with the waiting list so massive its very very unlikely that any place will become vacant! Just have to wait my turn.
Dave thanks mate and yes we are both well except for small issues .
As long as one passes the Eye Test with an Optician Dave then there is no worry, and as i do have a great Guy , known him for a long time he gave me the pass ( bit dodgy LOL) But still able to drive.
Hopefully when i see the Eye Specialist Dr Tang on the 30th , i can just ask him how long does he think it will still be ?
Cheers
Say hello to Molly ! And best to you as well

Re: Cataract Surgery
The restrictions on eyes varies from state to state here in Oz.
Down here in the Leper colony, Victoria, all you have to do is notify Vic Roads about it.
No age restriction on driving as that would constitute discrimination.
Had an e-mail today saying my cataracts are due to be done in early October.
Then read it again, not cataracts, car tracks at the local car depot, must go to Specsavers again.

Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.
