Hi Louis sorry for your troubles, I had the similar symptoms as you when driving, the white line at the side of the road was a
continuous running loop and at times I experienced double vision, this was 18 years ago, my doctor referred me to the eye
clinic where they diagnosed me as having wet AMD in the left eye and dry AMD in the right eye. At that time there was no treatment for AMD and after two years of monitoring I lost the central vision of my left eye. Last year my Optician referred me
to the hospital for cataract and lens surgery, the op was very successful but the eye changed from dry to wet AMD, but today
they have a treatment called Eyelea which is injected into the eyeball unfortunately it carries a risk of an infection which I got
and very nearly lost my right eye completely, I am still attending the eye clinic every 2 months and my eye is gradually getting
better, it's been a long road Louis but don't lose heart your sight is the most valuable thing you have and is worth fighting for.
Maybe you should ask to see an eye specialist as soon as possible, as it could be AMD "Age Related Macular Degeneration" hope this helps you. All the best John .......PS the clinic call those symptoms Distortion

Re: The eyes have it
i have recently had retinal tears which was repaired with laser treatment, i also only have one eye as the other had a detached retina, which the optician missed when i went. My advice is to go straight to the hospital optician for diagnosis. The eye specialist told me to go straight to them if any doubts, kt

Re: The eyes have it
I did not make it clear in my post , I have not had a stroke in fact I feel extremely well.
I was a bit shocked when the doctor mentioned strokes and brain scans and did not ask him why he had raised this.
He is arranging a hospital appointment with an eye specialist .
You are all still safe on Lincolnshire roads , the horse knows where he is going.

Re: The eyes have it
I have also had a detached Retina many Years back ,fixed with Laser as mentioned!
All well that Eye now (barring the Cataract) which is now disappearing with the drops!
Only thing I found since the Op is that everything I look at with the fixed detached retina Eye is that everything is smaller in size! Eg Text I look at it with one eye at a time and the text is a lot smaller than with the other! But was told that was normal!
Cheers

I type the next word, it's not easy and takes time to adjust it takes a lot of patience and time but never give up. cheers John F

If you want assurances about what will work and what will be safe in your eye to use for months at a time, insist on Can-C Eyes Eye Drops. N-Acetyl Carnosine drops for lubrication of the eyes and used as part of the control of cataracts.
Cataracts are caused by the hardening and discoloration of the lens due to lifelong cross-linking (glycosylation) of the lens proteins with ascorbate. This persists in the aqueous humor at high concentrations, due to the low availability of natural defences in the form of antioxidants (which decline with advancing age). N-acetylcarnosine delivers L-carnosine into the aqueous humor of the eye (the fluid area surrounding the lens) where it acts as a natural and comprehensive antioxidant, protecting structural lens proteins from the free-radical induced oxidation process.
As cataracts develops, antioxidant defence in the body is exhausted, leading to the cross-linking of the lens crystallins and producing a clouded lens and impaired eyesight. The clinical trials show that the regular use of a 1% N-acetylcarnosine (N.A.C.) eye-drop, delivers a high dose of carnosine capable of reversing the lens cross-linking of the lens crystallins and aids in the reduction and possible eradication of cataracts.
