Is this a sign!
Must be something that old age brings on! LOL
Last evening I was on my way to pick Irene up from the station, and had to pop in to the Locak Supermarket for some Pasta!
Well parked the car in a Parking Bay, it was dark and on getting out and walking around the back of the Car,Bang!! There was a Kerb right in my way,i didn't see it and fell A--- over Kettle, hit the hard Tarmac with a thud! Bleedin sore it was,as I fell on my left Hip,and Arm also injuring my already damaged left wrist that is currently bandaged! I was down and could,nt get up straight away!
Luckily there was a Car coming into another bay, which stopped and a Lady jumped out with three other people!
She quickly came over and asked if I was OK,and said could she drive me anywhere at all!
How kind she was.
Anyway both she and her partner (don't know if hubby or not) helped me up and made sure that I was OK,before they went on their way!
There are still people in the World that care! Yipeee!
No real damage was done, except for a grazed left Elbow, more damage to my left Wrist (it was just getting better damn!) and my Hip is really sore this morning! But no other marks!
Hope it will not deter my daily Walking routine now!
So that is it! Old Age creeping in! LOL
More than the small and minor injuries,i think I was more embarrassed by the whole episode! Felt really stupid! Oh Dear!

Re: Is this a sign!
There could be a couple of reasomns for this Vernon. You were not off your head with drink sothat can be ruled out.
There may have been poor lighting which may have caused you not to see the kerb well.
Or it could have been the bleeding obvious, you did not go where your feet were pointing. LOL

Re: Is this a sign!
That happened to me a couple of weeks ago, Anne had just gone into her bank and I was walking towards mine.
I tripped outside Marks and Spencers and flat on my face, extremely painful.
I was stunned and just lay there for a minute or two, Then a crowd of old ladies were surrounding me and trying to lift me up.
A crowd gathered round and I felt Daft, I got up as quick as I could said thanks to them all and went into the Bank, sat down and wept for my mum.
Very embarrassing.
I was sober, Not had a drink now for months due to the medication I am on.
Cheers
Brian
