Well my liver still works
From tonights Portsmouth Evening news
Figures have revealed the ages of the youngest children to be referred for drug and alcohol treatment in Portsmouth and Hampshire.
In the city, the youngest child referred by the city council for specialist treatment was 15, while in Hampshire it was 12.
I enjoyed a drink or three but medical needs at 12 , what are the parents doing ?

Maybe you escaped because you aren't in the middle of Pompey? I'm open to correction on that.Haven't been to Waterlooville in years.

Not necessarily Alf.It's often the fault of the Parents. My late Wife and I spent years as Foster Carers.I could tell you stories that would make you shudder.I'm not going to but I could, believe me. I've lost count of the abused Children we dealt with. Not always sexually abused but abused just the same.

Re: Well my liver still works
Hi Rob,
Portsmouth has one of the biggest number of young people with severe Liver and Pancreatic Diseases in the country.
Many of the kids my son treats or sometimes tries to treat as they are now terminal by the age of 16 drink that cheap european Vodka and cider.
In some parts of Portsmouth a bottle of vodka is £4, They drink a bottle before leaving home for a night in the clubs drinking more cheap spirits of doubtful ingredients.
Vodka probably contains ethyl or antifreeze and it destroys the Pancreas and Liver and they do die.
Vodka should be made illegal. It is a killer.
On TV it showed him going round to various liqour shops asking the managers to stop selling it to yound kids. Most of the shop keepers are from our overseas nation, and they didnt want to know. They are in business to make a profit.
Cheers
Brian.
