Gordon don't you dare give up the last few years I have had everything thrown at me health wise it gets you down yes but never take a step backwards let the quacks do their jobs and do what you are told love every day mate? I think all seamen still think we are young men again inside that's what gets us through anything you get well mate plenty here are behind you.. jp

I have just been to the hospital in Manchester for a check up after my cancer operation in January , just before I went to the Pacific.
It was Good News, it had all been removed and had not spread to the Lymph Glands.
But they have found another possible one on my bottom Lip. So I have to go to the hospital in Salford Royal on 11 May.
The lips had been burned by the sun while I was away and the skin peeled off and then a lump appeared on it.
So keep out of the sun, not good for you,
