1956: (15yo). Toffee maker, Williams Toffee factory. Delivery boy for Irwins Grocers. Sea training school at Dickie Bonds. Joined Ellerman and Papayanni, galley boy. 1957: Johnson and Warren Line. 1958: Athel Tankers. Signed up for 6 years army service. Postings to Berlin 1959-1961 and Libya 1961-1964. 1964-65 truckie for Thomas Wilson and Jarvis Robinson Transport. Depart UK for NZ. Cable laying in post office. 1968- 1971 delivery of shrimp boats Texas to Port Moresby. Joined Aussie Customs service. 1971-2005 NZ Customs Service. 2005-2015 Yacht deliveries NZ-Tonga and VV for Moorings Yacht Charters. Now in my 80s so lotsa reading.
