HI Noel.
I am surprised today to think that we never had sore bums in those days, slapping away as we rode into the sunset.

History tells us that King Edward the Second of England suffered from only one very nasty sore burn. Unfortunately for him he suffered from what was called Bannockburn.

Re: As we get old
After 17 days in hospital and very few mirrors I shaved by electric by memory.
When I came home and looked in the mirror i thought they had sent the wrong one home.
But I never give my age, all I say is I am a 16 year old with many years experience, it usually stops there.
Unless they have something wonderful to give me why do they want to know??
But yes did act my age in hospital, like a new born, no hair, no teeth and crapped my pants.

Re: As we get old
Well I remember the Saturday morning pictures, and the song we sang before it started.
We come along on Saturday morning, greeting everybody with a smile.
This was always sung with great gusto.

And all for sixpence.
A big movie, often a western, some other stuff and ice cream in the interval.
Buy an ice lolly and suck it with the paper still on to make it last longer.

Anyone ever do the trick one paid to get in then crashed the emergency exit doors open and all your mates rushed in? Torchy would go mad trying to find those who had rushed in.
