Our edna
No doubt by now you will have heard of the demise of Dame Edna, the lovely housewife from 'Moonee Ponds'
Two stories emerged about Barry the owner of Edna.
Some years ago he took a train ride stopping at five stations.
At each he had a mate dressed as a waiter to bring his a course of his five course breakfast.
According to others most did not understand what he was doing or who he was, just some kind of nut case maybe?
Dressed as a tramp he stood in the shadows of Melbourne Town Hall.
Got a mate to pretend to chuck up using a tin of 'Russian salad'
Soon as it hit the pavement he came out of the shadows, got down on his knees pulled out a silver spoon and began to eat.
Three women feinted and two men threw up.
In his will he has left the last joke of all.
He has nominated as Pall Bearers, Dame Edna, Sir Les Paterson, Sandy Stone and Lance Boil.

Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: Our edna
He was married 4 times and to get someone else’s opinion of him should read hers wife number 3. Her description does not match others gushing about his attributes. There again who can give a true account of anyone. Myself I feel his comedy more in line with that of a clown. But people must speak as they find . For those moaning about costng of the coronation how do they feel about State Funerals .? JS
One of her statements Barry was only in love with himself and the proof was in the size of his trousers. He would have made a good tester of spring mattresses where he expected his women folk to spend a lot of communal time. Its all on the internet . JS
He did live in London John and has for years. His wife number 3 had a 250 million mansion on Sydney Harbour side. Whether still has or not don’t know but think that was a recent valuation according to the media report. Cheers JS

Re: Our edna
As was said to day, where he still doing his stuff the WOKE police would have him in jail.
He was a comedian of the times, times when Oz and some others needed some laughter in their lives.
Stae funeral, well if Father Bob gets one then so she he.
But state funerals now are becoming a bit of a joke, there ae some who deserve but many who do not.
But then it looks good for the state premier, some of which would go to the opening of an envelope if they though it would bring them votes.
