Re: Just Had Some Very Disturbing News
For years my son and me have gone to our local for a meal and two or three pints, it is something we both really enjoy, the
lockdown here in Essex put paid to that and like most we accepted the new rules, when they eased the rules we saw no joy in
going to the pub in the present situation, we live next door to each other, so still have our meals, BBQ's and drinks in our own
homes we enjoy each others company, only thing missing is the atmosphere of the pub, which I do enjoy, maybe next year it
will all be back to normal, if it's worth having, it's worth waiting for
, cheers.

Re: Just Had Some Very Disturbing News
Slowly here in Oz restrictions are being lifted.
New outbreak in Sydney but under control.
But our laws are stupid to say the least.
Now five allowed in your house, it was none until yesterday.
Schools wee closed with home schooling resulting in an increase in alcohol sales, kids being taught at home by alcoholics.
Safe injecting rooms stayed open, got tom keep the illegal drugs going
and brothels open but the four square meter rule applies.
Social distancing in a brothel, interesting concept.

Happy daze John in Oz.

Re post #15
Seems that it is not really under control to the extent hat we can all still go around as before though John!
Thousands again queuing for tests Cars miles long up to 90 min waiting time at most places, Masks again mandatory now in the Streets as well.
Still Today awaiting more restrictions, many Flights cancelled once again throwing thousands into turmoil, with the School Holidays just a few days away here too. There may even be Lockdowns soon ? When will this ever end! That is the burning question! If ever????

Re: Just Had Some Very Disturbing News
Hi Terry.
I was surprised that you don't have checking, every place you go in N.S.W and especially in Cooma, except the super market, you have to give your name and phone number so you can be informed if there was a covid scare in that Club, Restaurant , or pub etc. We went into a Chinese restaurant yesterday for a meal and the girl was telling us that a large group from Sydney called in on the way to the snow fields for a meal, they refused to sign in, so despite the loss of custom they told them to leave, that is how people who don't follow the Covid rules should be treated.

Re: Just Had Some Very Disturbing News
Des, spoke with my brother in law in London and he said never heard of the QR being used there or any checking when you go into anywhere.
Must be just here in Oz that it is being done.

Re: Just Had Some Very Disturbing News
#19 John, your b-in-l must be one of the rule breakers, you MUST check into every restaurant, cafe, pub, with your phone covid app before entering,if you do not have a phone then you must fill in a form. Even some shops follow that rule, if you do not follow the rules then you are refused entry, some places are more lax than others, but the majority enforce them and most people are happy to follow the rules. Supermarkets in our area, provide sanitation stations for customers and additional ones for trolleys even though they have employees sanitising trolleys. These app signs in most places are also every table so you have no excuse not to check in. Every person has to sign in, not just one from the family or group. Does your b in l live in the Tower of London

Re: Just Had Some Very Disturbing News
Problem is Ivan, that the majority of idiots entering supermarkets ignore the sanitising stations, neither cleaning their hands or trolleys.
Or walk around with their nose sticking out of the mask thinking they are cool.

Re: Just Had Some Very Disturbing News
By all accounts Vic, If you have certain medical conditions that mean you are uncomfortable wearing a mask and you can back it up with a doctors note your excused. Terry.
