Thanks Keith for posting the link. Bloody disgusting behaviour. It really is time the gloves came off and the heavy hand came down. The police do not have the resources but we have a military. If this keeps up Marshal law and get it sorted. Spike 3 on the way. No summer travel and all will be bitching about holidays again. Well folks guess what you brought it on yourselves.

From what I have seen and read, the trouble with the police in Britain as in most countries is fast tracking of the hierarchy, they have no idea of what is happening on the streets, as they have no background of proper policing. This leaves the police on the ground without backup.

Here in Oz the power of the police varies from state to state.
In NSW they are some of the toughest compared to here in Victoria.
Our police have no ball now, succesive chief commissioners have seen to that.
There have been a number of events which should not have happened but the gov told them not to do it.
They are no longer allowed to enter into a car chase, not allowed to shoot or use the Taser, not allowed to ram a car to prevent a disater as occured here a couple of years ago, had they rammed the car six lives would have been saved.

Policing is not what it was, and at one time there was talk of doing a four year uni course to get into the police , that idea was dropped.

It was only vetoed by the Council, after many of us had taken issue with Trinity House, Buckingham Palace, Ministry of Defence, Governor of the Bank of England, The Mayor of Tower Hamlets and many others, I still have replies from all of them. They initialy were quite happy for it to go ahead. Many MN personnel were quite willing to come from abroad and join me and others in a sit-in. Others on here will remember the campaign.
