Re: Food
With reference to some comments regarding cannibalism, perhaps we're all guilty on occasion- take Shepherds pie, or for the veggies amongst us the popular Ploughmans. I'm sure other examples might spring to mind aboard here, but be wary of our Postfinder General who sometimes issues warnings if we tend to wander off course.

Re: Food
You may have seen it as well the 'new meta' made with all vegetables.
Nothing new here as back in the late 60's there was some meat extenders made from Soy.
As to sausages, I recall when in any Oz port we were allowed to bring any stores on board except sausages.
We were told the main ingredients were sawdust, horn and hoof ground down, left over bits of skin all in a plastic tube.
The basic snag here in Oz has not changed since then and is very popular with the BBQ, outside Bunnings on a Saturday morning they sell bucket loads of them in a slice.
But we have matured and now have a good selection of real sausages.
As to the veg feeling pain, next time i cut a cabbage from the garden I will listen very carefully

Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: Food
Nothing like a 'flake' and chips. Also one of the best for curries and chowder.

Re: Food
As a lion, love sizzling sausages at Bunning, as very profitable,, especially with families on Sunday's. A local 'Woolies' turned very green and is putting out sausages without the plastic rapping. Absolutely impossible to keep in one piece so we have changed our suppliers to Coles.
