You would need to be either a midget or a contortionist to get your leg over in one of those.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

I was hooked on the smell of cellulose right from the start Vern, probably a leftover from my aeromodelling days using dope and balsa glue! I expect you did have a queue for freebie paint jobs. Mind, being in the trade it's amazing how many friends you acquire with bent cars! In later years I think it was the usage of Cyanoacrylate two pack paints etc. that did me in. That's what a Consultant once told me even though I was a smoker.
People don't realise just how many shades and variations of colours there are. I once counted 23 different shades of black and there were more!

Cars these days have too much in them that's simply not required. Too many computers saying "no"! I have fond memories of our old Austin A35 van when we first got married. The fly wheel was missing a lot of it's "teeth" so I got pretty good at pushing it to start. No alarms though!!
Needless to say we will be up for a bill of $1400 for this fix.
I hate modern electronics in vehicles. Unfixable by the guy in the street. The only tools I needed with most of my cars (we're going back a few years now) was a hammer and a bent screwdriver! Lol! Chinese s**t electonics.

more or less the same here, the wifes car had a warning light up on the car, i couldnt trace it multi metre scanner etc, i went on youtube, punched in make and model, then this geeky seventeen year old kid told how he found the fault on his car, it was a wiring to the boot that was aggravated each time the boot was opened and shut, would have never have found it without this kid on youtube.
