During the recent Australian Bush Fire season, which was a bad one this year, there were screams from many that they were the result of Climate Change.
The fact is such fires have raged across the land since the beginning of time, they are nothing new. They are part of the Australian landscape.

What many do not understand is the nature of the Australian bush, a flora and fauna that requires the heat of such fires to regenerate.
Many seeds need the heat just to open, the fires also assist in the spread of the seeds in the wind caused by the fires.

The flooding rains which often follow a drought such as the one that has been raging for a number of years now came in time to kill off many of the fires both here in Victoria and NSW.

In the news last night a wonderful sight, the rains have promoted new growth.
there is grass growing along with the beginning of new plants, trees scorched by the fires their canopies destroyed in the heat are showing new growth.

Something that those living in other countries do not understand about the bush may be amazed to see such recoveries.
But it is only the start, within a couple of years much of the regions destroyed will roar back and in some areas one will never know the devastation that took place, the evidence will be gone.

I recall the fires of 83, just up the road from us. Some of the worst ever, yet within two years most had regrown, now it is ten times the size it was then.

Fires will in time come again, but hopefully by then the rules will have been changed and the clearing of undergrowth to reduce fuel ,load will be law.

There was an item on the news here a while ago that showed the new green shoots already showing in areas affected by the bush fires.

On BBC news it showed green shoots only days after fire ravaged through.
It also showed an insect climbing a charred blackened tree.

Despite what one member may think this posting has NOTHING TO DO WITH CLIMATE CHANGE, sorry for shouting but some do not listen.
It is the result of rains onfire effecetd areas.

During the recent Bush Fires the media in all it's forms published numerous articles about it, much of which was an untruth.

Persons overseas we know were concerned as according to their media ALL of Australia was on fire.
Take the media out of any equation and you will see the real picture.

Yes, the fires were bad but not as bad as previous ones, the rebuilding process of houses in Queensland has begun but may take longer in Vic and NSW as building regulations vary from state to state.

People living overseas ae often blindsided by articles posted in the media for one reason, shock and awe, that is what sells copy.

To find the truth come and see for your self.
As to financial impact, such statements ae regularly put out to cover the a*** of who ever in gov at the time.

Dont know3 so much about Green Shots ,but can tell you that my Grass is showing mass signs of Green Shoots now,and the Mowing is getting too much for an old Codger! LOL


Lovely though to see all the Green taking over the awful black that is a harsh thing to look at.

The more green growth there is the more Co2 is absorbed and the more oxygen made available, all good news.
Now get out there and mow, nowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!
