Re: Lunacy needed
#11... I could never understand Cameron’s laxity on giving the people the belated vote. He got in on on the promise of having a vote on it, then waited about 2 years if I am correct to do so. Further time for the EU to cement its feet in. He with his previous predessors in the top chair will be remembered by most both in the UK and out as a poor example of a PM. He can. Join the list before him. Mind the screaming skull sitting now on labour’s sidelines would take some beating. JS. In ref. To the last I refer to the one who expects and hopes for a second go at the job. After making his fortune on lecturing , writing his memoirs he is looking for a part time job to fill in his time. JS

Re: Lunacy needed
If we do not watch the media in any source then there will be no problems.
Over the past few years we have been to many countries, Russia and Japan are two such where the people are no different to us.
But what ever you do, do not let the polis know that.
A very dangerous breed developed in supposedly sane nations, but we who have travelled this globe know better.
No sane person would ever consider constructing such a woeful bunch of no hopers who claim they do the will of the people.
Let me tell you the only will they are interested in is the one you leave with money so they can do you for death duties.
They crawl from under rocks, cess pits and other such places with smiles as big as a Cheshire cat promising you the earth, and that is what we get a bucket of dirt.
So just turn the TV off cancel the papers, throw the radio away get a cold one out of the fridge and always look on the bright side of life.

Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.

Re #8.
Looking at the video resembles Tony Blair singing to Gordon Brown on one of Alex Salmond's wind farms.

Re: Lunacy needed
Politicians work night and day doing a hard and very difficult job. Many are working so hard they have very little time for their second and third jobs. They have dedicated their lives to the service of the people and country. Although surviving on meagre salaries they have stopped fiddling their expenses , some are even paying for their own holidays.
We in the UK are fortunate to have such people to represent us , we must give them the respect they deserve.

###cant understand it .....how they get these jobs .....suppose its like the unions ....the members vote them in ...and even pay weekly subscriptions ....in some cases even if they are abroad most of the time to keep them in power.......and even pay them mega pensions even after the union is bust....and yet the people who vote them in time after time get no representation and even more sadly no pensions from the monies they have paid in .....the baaring of the lambs time after time comes to mind ....of course the lesson many never seem to learn is ..the only person to look after you and your family is yourself .....but then that is just my view...interested of course louis to see your answer on the question you pose......cappy

Re: Lunacy needed
To be honest Cappy I have come to the stage were I am trying as hard as possible not to get wound up about UK and world events. For years my wife has been saying , if you cannot do anything about it , don't worry about it. She has no knowledge of and no interest in the subjects you and I have argued over many times in the past.
But don't think I have given up completely , I will be still watching you closely. Did you ever see the movie , One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest. Highly recommended.
Talking of cuckoos , how is it going in the carrot patch ? You have not been posting as much lately , pressures of work I suppose.
One last shout. Watch out Iran you are next on the hit list.

Re: Lunacy needed
Here in the U.K. the latest lunacy, stirred up by the press, not the public, along with the P.C. brigade, is the furore raised by the term " letter box" used by Boris Johnson when referring to those who dress in black from head to foot. Yet not a peep from any of them, including all the europhiles, about the banning of wearing said item of clothing in public in countries such as Denmark, Germany, France and Austria.
If you were to poll the country you would get a huge majority in favour of banning the wearing of said item in public along with those heavily tinted motorcycle helmets which make it impossible to recognise the face of the wearer and are favoured by the scooter and motorcycle riding criminals.
