    Default Ppi

When the press and other media began reporting on the banks miss selling PPI I contacted Nat West asking if I had been sold this insurance on past car loans.
They wrote to me saying I never had PPI added , I accepted this and forgot all about it.
About a month ago I received a letter from one of the companies who specialise in claiming back money on your behalf. I signed up with them and have now found Nat West owes me over £3000. The company is now digging into mortgage payments and other insurance policies I have had over the years so there may be more to come.
This of coarse is not a free service , the company I am with charges 25% of all money's recovered , I don't mind paying this because without them I would not know I was owed money and receive nothing.
It may be worthwhile other site members trying this , you only pay on money recovered by them.

#1... Louis what’s PPI ? The only one that comes to mind is the old radar screen and stood for plan, position, indicator. Or the old similar “ I’m H.A.P.P.Y. Song which I will sing for you even though you can’t hear”, any money retrieved from such establishments Is like getting a refund from a house of ill repute. Best of luck and hope you have more to come. Cheers JWS

Hi John PPI is Personal Payment Insurance , the banks were adding this on to customers without their knowledge , or if the customer did know it was not made clear what the payments covered.

The Banking Royal Commission here has uncovered a similar scheme here in Oz.

Apparently the big banks were adding some form of life and other insurances to home loans and others without notifying the customer.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

J,S, I done the same thing that Louis did i wrote a simple letter to 4 credit cards i had years ago and asked for any mis-sold ppi back i received 4 payments which exceeded £2,000. Always worth a stamp mate Terry.

For those in OZ NSW at least do you know that there is a rebate payment for Compulsary Third Party insurance (CTP) and it ends in Sept this year. Tried to do it on line but it is a bloody nightmare trying to do it. Went to the RMS and it was done in no time at all. Said to the girl that I had tried to do it on line and she admitted that it is very hard to do. Typical government when they are refunding money is it not to make it complicated to get it. Anyway got enough to take the sheriff and I for a few jugs and a feed at the local watering hole. So anyone living in NSW and has a car should look into this. Not sure if it is in other states
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.

Les, nothing like that here in Vic as far as I know.

But as seniors we do get half price motor registration.

Possibly ?? you are not registered with MY RTO (Maritime Services) which would have made t a bit more difficult online.
