Out of the sky
We had heard about this from the Aboriginies here, they spoke of it during their Dream time.
Some locals say they had seen it but it was such a long time ago they could not exactly remember what it was like.
For weeks now the weathermen have been speaking about it's arrival but nothing happens.
the today they said a fine morning with storms and some thing called rain in the afternoon.
Well as usual they got it wrong and just after 9 it began.
All this wet stuff falling form the sky, we have been told this is rain!!!!!
The last lot we had here was so long ago w had forgotten just how wet it can be, and how much we can get.
Huey must have been having a bad day as my three tanks outside, 2500 liters each were overflowing within 30 minutes, run off from the roof.
But now as I write, blue skies, warm sun and by this time Sunday it will be as dry as once again.
We love a sun burnt country
a land of sweeping plains
Of rugged mountain ranges
Of drought and flooding rain.

Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.
