Re: I have a Plight.................
Hi Vernon,
What you posted back is wonderful. Even by going on the amount of response I have received since I first asked my question is overwhelming .
I hope and wish that I too achieve a great and happy ending but, as you say, I'll keep plodding on.

If by chance you find some info but, do not wish to add in a public forum, Doc, myself etc can assist privately.

Re: I have a Plight.................
Hi Beverley
Last one for now but have you tried any Forums that relate to Fowey I ask as that is where I started on my Search, although did eventually get a reply from the RAF Forum,as at the time this all happened that is where I was in the RAF!
Look around on the Net if you have not already done so. ( I SUPPOSE YOU HAVE THOUGH)
the forst Forum I tried was The Black Country in Birmingham, which was also very good!
Good Luck and as said you can contact me or Keith if necessary per Private Message or Site Email.
Cheers

Re: I have a Plight.................
Hi Keith,
Thanks very much for your message.
It is very nice of you and Doc to suggest that I could contact you privately, I may well discuss with you after I have spoken to Viv on Tuesday coming. I am psyching myself up for this conversation because I am going to have to ask Viv some very personal questions.
If I get some relevant details back, I will have no hesitation in contacting either you or Doc.
I greatly appreciate your support in this matter and look forward to speaking to you soon.
Thanks very much and I hope everybody has a great week-end.
Bev

Re: I have a Plight.................
Hi Beverly.
We have had women on the site looking the same as you for a connection to their father, and in fact one did find her father and was warmly welcomed, but not all searches turn out like this, I like to think that the world has moved on from old Victorian thinking, there are more and more people {men] who are more ready to meet up with children they didn't know about, your father is probably unaware you exist but it doesn't mean to say that he wouldn't welcome you.
Good luck in your search and hope that the men on site have helped in some small way. We did have a great researcher here that may have helped but she is now gone.
Cheers Des
