Not America alone
The current ,(yet another ) Inquiry, Has revealed that the figures here are in their thousands. A Proven 7 per cent Priests. The Churches own figures , was disclosed this week.
No wonder their Spokesman was in tears ,when announcing.
Personally ,i think ,Children should not be made aware of religious beliefs. in other words .Get rid of the Church -related schools. And the extra Perks they enjoy ,as a result of being Church associated.

Re: Law and order Filipino Style.
I have just had an e-mail today , others may have received also... From Eileen Piper via Change.org reads ... John I'm a 92 year old widow battling the Catholic Church for justice after the horrific rape and sexual abuse of my teenage daughter by a priest.
they"ve been brutal and heartless. They"ve been hoping I"ll die so they don't have to deal with me anymore or pay me proper compensation for the heinous sexual abuse to Stephanie. Ive been fighting them for 23 years- all I want is to see justice, and I refuse to give up
Watch this short video etc etc etc.
Reading this email 1 fact at once stood out. If the lady is 92 and has been fighting this case for 23 years, that makes her 69 when she started, assuming her daughter was 14 at the time, maybe older or younger, that makes her 55 when she had her. I haven't bothered to watch the video and wont be signing her petition. Cheers JS

Re: Law and order Filipino Style.
Des#8 there was a big drug haul here in Melbourne the other day when around 500 kilo of cocaine was found in a shipment of coal. Coke in coal maybe?
As to the children allegedly molested by the clergy, what constitutes sexual abuse? Many years ago a priest may have put his hands on a young lads shoulders to talk with him. Nothing wrong then, but now that can be construed as sexual misconduct.
I am not coming down on the side of the church just saying how terminology has changed over time.
John #10, no matter what may be in the Vatican, and doubt it will ever see the light of day, those who believe in the teachings of the Catholic church will mot be swayed in their strong commitment to it.
But stories will always abound as to mysterious letters, scrolls etc supposedly to be from the Bible.
Remember most of the teaching are in and around the region of the mid east and the likelihood of such scripts being held safely for centuries is very low I would consider.
If Judas committed suicide when he did how could he have then written a testament on the life and death of JC?

Re: Law and order Filipino Style.
#12, Hi John, I looked up this case. The mother Eileen Piper was 36 yrs old when she adopted her daughter Stephanie in 1961. The priest, Gerard Mulvale, was charged by the Police for 6 horrendous sex offences in 1970s. Stephanie, 33, committed suicide in 1994 after she was repeatedly raped. The Church dismissed her allegations. The Royal Commission revealed that almost 14% of priests from the Pallottines were alleged perpetrators and that 7% of all Australian Catholic Priests are alleged child sex abusers, many of them still serving vulnerable communities, because of her suicide the prosecution dropped all the charges involving Stephanie.
Having been sentenced for other sexual crimes to three years jail, with parole after 27 months (the Court of Appeal later allowed him parole after 18 months). He is now known as Gerrard Shaw. Incredulously the website of the Yorgum Aboriginal Counselling Service in Western Australia stated that in 2003 Gerrard Shaw was currently acting as a "counsellor" with the Yorgum Aboriginal Counselling Service. "Yorgum offers a unique team of Aboriginal counselling staff in a supportive environment. We provide counselling for Aboriginal children and adults of all ages .."
N.B.
Pallottine Priests and Brothers came to Australia from the German Province in 1901 to pastor to the Aboriginal people of Beagle Bay Mission in the Kimberley.
From there they spread to other missions and parishes in Western Australia and eventually to the Eastern States of Australia.
Details of his other assaults and the court case are as follows:
Church leaders protected this criminal priest, Father Gerard Mulvale ...
Church leaders protected this criminal priest, Father Gerard Mulvale | Broken Rites Australia
PS, I signed.

Re: Law and order Filipino Style.
I doubt any of the dead sea scrolls or any chronicles were written by their authors, in fact I doubt if any of them could read or write, most were supposedly poor fishermen. They were written by scribes again supposedly by what they were told to write, which in itself leaves a lot to believe, as again it leaves a lot of personal and their own believes and wishes implanted. Jesus himself has every likelihood of being an actual person, but again Jesus was a very common name. Those days were the forefront of very many people travelling the land giving out their own testimonies as to God, today we call them by different names evangilists and other aspects of Billy Graham. Anyhow whether true or false it was the basis of who most of us are today, if the 10 commandments being to me the basis of Chistianity, however that well known (at one time) part of the bible ceased to exist for most and leaves a void in the word Christian. There are numerous Christian faiths in the Middle east some barely discernable as such, and there are numerous documents held by the Vatican, I watched a program many years ago when what one watched one could believe more so than today, and it even showed the mountain of past knowledge on the subject in the Vaticans vaults. Cheers JS

#14... Thanks Marian, I didn't go any further into it, as never watched the video of the account. Nearly every day I get similar emails about other things also and get a bit annoyed. Once you sign one you leave yourself open to sign everyone you get. However in the one we are talking about may well read up and sign, if genuine which may well be as you say. Thanks. JS PS had another quick look and signed, no sooner signed than another 2 popped on screen, will leave for another day after checking up on marine environment, and another about 24 workers not being paid by the WA government which I am quite likely to believe as always think the worse when it comes to politicians. Cheers, my name would have been doubting Thomas if lived in Biblical times. JS

It. Was pleased to see that 6 Pakistani men who had been convicted of rape and grooming young girls have had their British passports withdrawn, and on completion of their sentence will be deported to Pakkistan, we need to do a lot lot more of that, kt
