Re: Crime doesn't pay !
Hi Marian, this reminds me of a postman that lived across the road, he came home and couldn't get in, so he climbed
on to his porch roof and across to his bedroom window, the small fanlight was open and he managed to squeeze through
and the loose window fell back on his legs trapping his boots outside, in his struggle to get free he turned over so his
boots were pointing skywards which looked even funnier to me, I was in stitches and couldn't stop laughing, eventually
I got my ladders out and opened the window to free him, he couldn't look me in the face after that. JC

Re: Crime doesn't pay !
Reminds me of a guy I knew who was doing some work on his house.
As a result they could not use the ground floor or front door so climbed a ladder to get into the house via a front window. This went on for about ten days.
One day seeing a neighbor while climbing up the ladder she said to Tom,' why can't we go in to the house like normal people do'.

Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: Crime doesn't pay !
#4, John, your ladder story reminded me when my son told my sister she would have to climb through the car window for a lift to local train station as the 'electrics' had gone in his car and the doors wouldn't open. I helped her in and he promised to park beside low boundary wall at station to enable her to climb out. She's only 5' so a fair bit of a struggle ensued as she went feet first. Finally somewhat flustered on approaching the ticket machine she realised she'd left her handbag in the car. He watching, got out his side and handed it over much to his amusement and the drivers at the taxi stance.
She's still wary of him...
