#10&12, Have coughed, spluttered & wheezed all through Christmas week till present with a chest infection. Two lots of antibiotics, combined now with steriods/tablets, 8 per day all at once first thing in morning. Doctor said would interfere with sleep! Averaging 3-4hrs..

####same thing here marion 3 weeks had just come off steroids ....couldnt get a good sleep coughing and sweating then freezing .......but would not think i would trouble the doctor and this week have come round more to normal.....there was atime when people just went to hospital for operations .......now they seem to go at the drop of a hat......i dont take cough medicines etc they are a waste of time ......see a person went to AEwith a broken finger nail ......but i do feel the drunks and junkies should be made to pay 100 quid a visit at least .....regards cappy

##love tripe with onions a knob of butter and simmered in milk ......love black pudding bought some lancashire made yesterday .......and at last something in common with louis the fly .......oxtails love em ...my local butcher will get them for me.......rabbit shot by my old mate ex engineer port line ....ex gamekeeper always shot in the head.braised with shallot and carrot or onions .....dont undestand where white pudding comes from ...aint seen white pigs blood before.....but best of all a leg of lamb stuffed with garlic slow cooked 4 hours .....now thats my favourite plus all the trimmings ....cappy

I was on a foreign flag deep sea salvage tug, the skipper was German the mate Russian. The mate would eat everything all together on one plate.He ate with his nose two inches from the plate and his arm around it like a starving dog. The skipper put different flavours of jam onto different types of meat he also liked raw sausages.
There is a meat here in Lincolnshire called haselet no idea which animal it comes from I had never heard of it before coming here. K

Ah !! The mention of Black Pudding !! One of the delights of travelling throughout Australia is the " Big Aussie Breakfast " and they always seem to have a generous portion of Black Pudding. My wife thinks I am mad !! Regards Peter in NZ.

Black pudding, very popular with some of the young ladies. The Somalian version is very popular in some areas.

We do not see much of it here in Oz and a bity of black pudding with bacon and eggs goes down a treat.

As to chest infections, I came back with one form this last cruise, had to take penicillin tablets for a week.
My GP said I most likely got it from drinking out of wet glasses.
