Nearly crashed the car this morning.
On BBC Radio 2 at 11:30 Jeremy Vine gives a little discussion on what he will be discussing on his Radio Programme at midday.
He stated that they will be discussing the present Labour crisis and looking at prospective candidates should Corbyn quit. He then made the statement that really threw me, MAYBE THEY SHOULD BRING BLAIR BACK.

Do you think while there is no one on the wheel, we could get our knots (speed) back, also the draft figures in feet and inches, maybe also do away with International time and just use GMT for the use of us old fashioned sailors. If they haven't yet managed to get charts printed of the Western Approaches and the English Channel being marked as the French channel, then flood the market with charts depicting the English Channel. Continue using the method of fathoms and feet as messes up my head when trying to convert to metres and mms from an old fashioned hand lead line. These are only a couple of things that would ease the strain on my brain, but be quick before someone comes back on the Bridge. Cheers JWS

All this talk about the European lovers falling on their swords being put out by the media, one would think they would have a little feeling for those wishing to commit hari kari, and call it falling on their petard, to show their feelings towards Europe, or even falling on their face, and not a good English Broadsword. Don't be fooled by Boris,John. Bo-Jo is an extremely clever man.He studied Classics at Oxford,was president of the Oxford Union,was London Mayor twice, oversaw the huge London Olympics of 2012,has been offered editorship positions at The Times and The Spectator and has remained true to his beliefs.Imagine that ,living in a family where your own ex-politician father and journalist sister voted opposite to what you wanted. His unflustered nature and sense of humour goes down well abroad (maybe not in stuffy Brussels-controlled Europe,but he's certainly respected and liked.elsewhere).I'm surprised that Australians don't get his kind of humour! ! Would have thought that's what you needed down there!
I would say he's an amiable bear,but watch out if he's goaded.
Margaret Thatcher would be proud of him,after all the lying,lacklustre,corrupt leaders of both parties we've had since her day.

I will bow to your superior knowledge of the man, he is not that well known down here and I am aware of the good work he did for London. After the previous one I am not surprised he is so popular. If you think he can do it then go for it.

David Cameron came out with a cracker whilst at the dispatch box yesterday.A young lady was sworn in as a new Labour MP,Dave welcomed her to the house and followed up with "keep your mobile phone turned on you may get offered a job in the cabinet" I think even the Labour MP's had to laugh.

He and Cameron were in the same class at Eton,
Cameron's father PAID for him to go there.
Boris passed examinations ands won a Scholarship to go to Eton.

I guess that says it all.
