Pleased you got back in one piece Brian. Agree with what you say. If a bunch of rag heads can vote on such an important issue why not so those former citizens who chose to live out their days in the far flung reaches of the old Empire, and still go back for family and friends. As you know we are due an election here within weeks. I said at the time and still do that when they chose to back stab Abbot they would live to regret it. I still hold true to that. Regardless of what one thinks of Abbot he was the duly elected PM of the country, the labour party made the same mistake. There are still a lot of people put Loyalty down as a redeeming feature in any person, not so apparently politicians. I hope it does backfire on them they deserve it. Hope your neighbour took your milk in for you. Cheers JWS

Be like the referendum they had in NZ. The result did not suit the government of the day. So the result got squashed with the excuse that the people did not understand what they where voting for. Been thinking is history going to repeat itself. Be assured that the PM and his cohorts have a plan B for just such a result.
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.

The EU has pat history on referendum results that it did not agree with. France, Denmark and Ireland were told to vote again when the results did not match the aspirations of the EU.

This is quite interesting reading regarding present and future trade agreements within Europe. It would appear that leaving the EU would have little or no effect on trade agreements between the U.K. and the rest of Europe if I read it correctly. If this info is freely available why are politicians on both sides not quoting it instead of using scare tactics?

John a lawyer specialising in Trade Law "stated last week that if the UK left the EU it would not impact on trade as the UK is signatory to the Trade contracts". Like you I cannot figure out why Berexit campaigners don't make more of this issue.
