Jim, you still haven't answered the question I posted in #54.
I have never posted a post on this thread sympathetic to David Cameron. I have no idea what you are on about regarding Corbyn and Premium Bonds. If you actually care to read the DOM, you will it is very critical of Cameron.
Jim, sorry you are wrong regarding PAYE, you could have if you wished opted out of PAYE, it was not a big problem all you had to do was write to the tax man of your intentions. Of course the down side was that you had to pay your dues in one big lump sum at the end of the financial year.

#61, oop's a daisy does my tongue in cheek retort still rankle
As stated before Jim you initiated this thread about a family member of the current prime minister and all which that implied!! "Everyone is oot o' step bar oor wee Johnny" reminds me of you.... perhaps you could respond to my later post of #57 to move the debate along....
Anyone on here who disagrees with your policies whether good, bad of indifferent, appear to irritate you or perhaps that's just me...who cares. I don't wish to be ruled by Labour Jim after their last fiasco, especially a socialist one to boot, their principals are grand till they run out of others folks money. Fortunately I am able to distinguish for myself who deserves my vote. But if you insist on being devils advocate then take the flak on the chin. Certainly don't wish to labour [excuse the pun]
the point further life's too short and my programme's starting

Re: Offshore Accounts.
Jim, my posts were speciic to the alegations regarding tax evasion and the off shore money. I honestly hav no knowledge of him avoiding paying tax, which is wrong. Where did the info on evasion come from?

Re: Offshore Accounts.
The fact remains that what ever thye have done I doubt any could be proven illegal. If it did go to court you can bet the judge is also looking for ways, legal of course, to avoid as much tax as possible.
But companies will go where the tax level is the lowest so many countries miss out on tax. Dell computers for instance moved to Ireland when offered company tax rate of 15%.
As far as the law on tax goes I doubt any crime has been committed.

Re: Offshore Accounts.
Just to rain on everyone's parade.
Are all those past and present seafarers who use the (legal) Foreign Earnings Deductions rules to reduce their tax bills by 100% going to classed as tax cheats? If so count me in as a cheat.

Re: Offshore Accounts.
Ship owners have been doing it for years, Flagging out. to avoid taxes etc. No comments from our Politicians of any colour. What is the difference if it is an individual or a Big company.?
