'Why do people with so much money that they will never be able to spend want more.'....What difference is that to you or I?? That's their business

Re: Offshore Accounts.
How much money they have Marian is their business but once they squirrel it away to avoid paying their share of tax like me and everybody else had/has to pay it becomes public business.

Re: Offshore Accounts.
Jim, Is it our business, they have done nothing wrong, its perfectly legal to avoid paying tax.
Obama, stated last night every single person who has used their own money to avoid paying tax have broken NO LAWS. As long as there are differential tax rates between countries, money will move between them in order to maximise their capital.
In todays Express, there is an article on how to avoid paying inheritance tax duties when you die. Most of the UK population who have their own house under the current laws will pay inheritance Tax when the last of the husband wife team passes away.
Is it wrong for ordinary couples to minimise the amount of death duties that the state will claim when they die?
Regards
Vic

Re: Offshore Accounts.
I watched George Osbourne squirm a little when questioned by TV a reporter some pertinent questions regarding his personal tax affairs before he cut short the interview. His father and uncles wallpaper company Osbourne and Little have never paid any corporation tax yet. George holds a 15% share in the company.

Re: Offshore Accounts.
#53, You didn't answer the question Jim! Your last line..... 'want more'...... was not referring to tax and neither was my question.
Never cease's to amaze me the interest in other folk's money
Almost like, when someone has a huge win on the lottery for example, then a few say too much, what will they do with it?.... Instead of saying good luck to them.

Re: Offshore Accounts.
Vic reading your previous post I could see that you were sympathetic to Mr Cameron,a good letter in one paper somebody posted was if Jeremy Corban in so much asked somebody to buy two Premium Bonds in their name for him your paper the Daily Mail and the other rag The Sun would've had a field day.I hated paying PAYE it took a large chunk out of my salary especially for the company car,I didn't want to join the PAYE club but I had no option.

Re: Offshore Accounts.
But why is there no criticism of Bliar and Brown. Paying money into a `charity ` they own to avoid tax and living the good life on the Expences., isn't that the same as having an offshore account.?
As I said , if it is Legal why is everyone discussing it. it has been going on for many many years The Labour Party during 13 years in Office must have thought it was OK so what is the problem
If it is wrong then the Law should be changed to stop the practice, That was up to Labour when in Office and also the Conservatives while they are in Office,
So they are both obviously the same in agreement that the Practice can continue. So one cannot condemn one party unless you condemn both parties.
They are no different than Benefit Cheats, all are ripping off us Tax Payers.
