Wot No Black Pudding.!!
We know about our friends the ******s working in supermarkets who refuse to serve alcohol or pork products well here is a good one from todays paper. As we know many supermarkets have their own cafe's,a guy went into Sainsburys for a full English breakfast which included black pudding. You cant have black pudding sir the chef is Jehovahs Witness and refused to cook it.They believe the Bible bans eating blood a key ingredient in black pudding.
The other day care workers in a pensioner care home in Bradford refused to serve the residents their bacon butties or meals which contained pork.
These people should be fired their personal beliefs should be left at the front door of their employment.I don't think any tribunal should take their side they should have known what the job entailed before taking it.
Regards.

I wonder if the chef (She is a female) would have served white pudding. Just a thought.

Re: Wot No Black Pudding.!!
On the religion angle never seen a problem as people just use gloves, tongs etc. Not certain about Jeahovah's, only seen them knocking at doors and when they come to mine and mumble something witness, I tell them I was not aware of an accident. I do object when the person before me at the counter ask's if the meat is Hal al and is told all the meat is. k

Crazy as it may appear if the employee efused and was dismissed for faiuling to comply with company rules then waitiung in the wings will be a lawyer who will take the case to court on grounds of religeous discrimination.
I have not heard of any such actions here in Oz but give it time!

Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: Wot No Black Pudding.!!
In a reply to a previous post about the virtual ship a Ref. Was made to black pudding. This is now on that post and see absolutely no parallel to the posts having the same reference points. It is an intelligent post giving credence to different aspects people have. Maybe I am getting loss of memory or something or missing the whole point of the exercise. If so please let me know in basic terms. I won’t blush. JWS

Re: Wot No Black Pudding.!!
We all have different senses regarding humour Vernon, then again some have none. Gulliver and self probably are considered to have a warped sense of such, usually by others who possess none. However better to have laughed than never to have laughed before. Gulliver probably already has a witticism ready to go, as apart from worrying about crossing vessels 15 miles away has a mind as sharp as a blunt razor blade. He will probably come back saying he just sharpened his rapier this morning. I am all for witticisms and jokes takes the self importance away Some have. Have tried to think how black pudding could enter into the arena, but no doubt will come to me in a flash. Thanks for reply however. Cheers JWS
