There will be a lot of to-ing and fro-ing on this the Turks insisting that the messages are genuine which no doubt can easily be verified by various agencies around the world (if they of course wish to do so, which I doubt). The Russian pilot is of course going to deny that he heard any such warnings as he has no wish to be held ultimately responsible for his mates death, or the death of one of the rescue team sent in to retrieve him, and Putin is not going to back down on this sole issue now that he has awarded both pilots a medal. Loss of face is more important than the truth.

Re: Turkey Downs Russian Warplane.
An extract from a letter in todays Western Australian Newspaper.... In 2012, when the Syrian Air Force shot down a Turkish jet which invaded Syrian airspace, PM Erdogan said that brief airspace violations " could not be a pretext for an attack".
This is the same Erdogan whose Air Force averages almost 1400 violations of Greek airspace each year, the most recent being just two weeks ago when eight Turkish Air Force jets entered Greek airspace.
Clearly this is a case of double standards at best, and reckless provocation at worst. Signed.

I see now that Putin and the French president are to join forces on an attack on ISIS. Funny, I thought they were already doing that!!!

Re: Turkey Downs Russian Warplane.
Apparently Obama phoned Putin to ask what he would like for thanksgiving dinner.
'Turkey' came the reply.
