Re: The Northern Powerhouse.
Come on Jim, if you live in Manchester that's the Northern Power House, if you live in Liverpool that's the Northern Power House. All smoke and mirrors.

#1 The Black Horse pub in Monkseaton, always used to pour a full pint. Cappy always said it was the jungle in North Shields but always got short measure there. Don't think it was our gas or electric meter as were often raided when they were coin ones. Cheers JS

Re: The Northern Powerhouse.
When they build the new High Speed Railway line from London to Manchester then on to Leeds and Liverpool in around 30/40 years time plus, to cut 20 minutes of the journey time from London up north at a cost of 20,000,000,000 POUNDS,. we up north will benefit as a Northern Power house.
I look forward to it. as my income tax from my miserable MN Pension will be paying for it, so do not complain about it Jim,
Think positive.

Re: The Northern Powerhouse.
Manchester is going to become the first Northern Powerhouse Brian so you will be the first to benefit. They say it's a concept, rather than any actual, physical thing at the moment.
