Car insurance
I am sure i have posted on this before but cannot find where. Just received my renewal from Marks and Spencer car insurance, last year i paid £221 , my renewal this year £259, so for the 4th year in a row i phoned and complained, they offered me a discount, down to £204, so for the last 4 years they have reduced what i had paid the year before. So NEVER, EVER EVER accept the renewal quote from any insurance company KT

Re: Car insurance
The very cheapest I got this year after Liverpool Victoria increased it by £150 to £650, I went through every one I could find. and the Cheapest was HASTINGS, at £520.
I have never been involved in an accident for over 20 years. or made a claim. I only drive 3000 a year. and drive a ten year old KIA Carens 1500cc
ALL Insurance Companies are Bent and Corrupt. a bunch of evil Gangsters holding drivers to Ransom.
AND Another Bent and corrupt way of ripping us off...ROAD TAX
I have just got my reminder today for October. £225
My immigrant neighbour has got his for his BIG Mercedes, £20 a year 2 litre.
How Bent is that??
the evil berstereds.

Re: Car insurance
When you buy your car insurance whichever company you choose NEVER NEVER NEVER allow them to automaticly rennew you policy the following year , If you dont you may find that you cannot cancel the renewal sometimes up to six months before it is due but if you leave it you may find huge penalty clause to get out of it.
You have a computer so just befor its due contact all the comparison price sites I do and last year mine was £175.00p Fully Comp including home start, recovery and legal charges. Thats for a 1998 Honda Civc CV, Wife named driver 6000 mpa. over 10 years NCB.There is a £400.00p excess but the car is only valued at £300.00 so should the worst happen I will just scap it.

Re: Car insurance
That is a good price John Albert.
I was told it is the post code that hits the Insurance.
Because I once lived in a very desirable area I was OK , But the influx of Asian immigrants has made the Price to go up and up.
I am in a trap and cannot get out of it.
The Government tell me that Migrants enrich our Nation
They sure do, but they rip me off to pay for it.
So Beware, they are coming to a district near you.

Re: Car insurance
Brian,
I do sympathize with your position but as for your last line, i doubt very much if they will end up where I live (I hope)

Re: Car insurance
Interesting article in the international papers in June. It said in the financial sections that motor vehicle insurances need to rise by 25% over the next four years. Speaking with one of the major repair companies here I was informed that Alliance, one of the worlds biggest, is looking at a policy where any car over 3 years old will be treated differently to others. A cap on the amount of money to be spent on new parts will apply with the customer then having the choice of paying the additional cost or the repairer using second hand parts. If Alliance do t others will follow. Companies such as M&S who provide insurance re only subsiderys of the big companies.

Happy daze John in Oz.
