Ivan...There is a concerted attack on him at the moment and ever since he got in. This includes the press including the ABC television programs. In a country like Egypt they would all have disappeared a long time ago. At present due to the Inquiry into the Union rorts of the past and present decades they (Labour party) are trying to get the learned Judge barred from the proceedings which they want cancelled as is getting too near to the present leader of the opposition. He supposedly accepted an invite to what they say was a party fund raiser ( Liberal) the same judge believe it or not cannot use a computer for emails, and I thought I was thick. Makes me feel good that some of the people do not have to rely on electronic technology in this so called knowing age of peace and goodwill. If ever politics was there in its true colours watch Australian politicians at work and see the complete book of tricks of deception graft and incompetency all through the system. The worse at the present is once again the labour party and their total dependence on the Union hierarchy. ( tomorrow may well be the Liberal party) The unions themselves are being led by a bunch of dimwits who cant see the wood for the trees. Any self professed honest working man should and will have to denounce some of them and start all over again and start to reclaim some of the damage that some have done to their movement. For all the bad that we all know goes on in the higher branches of Politics and Unions, the union movement was started for the good of its members, unfortuanetly times change and when they do the spivs step in, was the same in the last world war they also stepped in to make money on the black market. the sad part of all this crisis and that's what it is a lot of the people that have to leave and find a new safe place to live are the brains of the country and without the professionals the country is going nowhere ? jp

They are doing exactly the same as all animals do, and being human animals makes no difference. They are migrating to better pastures. Is a trait that every breathing object does. A lot on this site did it also, we did it however mostly independently, today is being organised by whoever can take advantage of another persons misfortunes, it could and should be stopped at source, this could have been done earlier as someone pointed out, as a senior British soldier pointed out not too long back. A really united Europe should have emergency plans in place as have had plenty of time to see the writing on the wall. The present people on the move are all well aware of the situation and all the corners they can cut, and also what obligations they can demand, and are well prepared for that. Nothing is ever said by the likes of the World Health on the dangers posed as well, although they more than likely are, but are kept muted on the excuse of causing panic. Not so long back re the plague in Africa where a lot of these people come from. What news you do see will be the best shots to advance the buying of newspapers. JS

In 2008 I was going to sue a well know shipping Company, I was overcome by fumes in my cabin and ended up in the ships Hospital on oxygen.
I approached a well known national firm of Solicitors, they said it would cost me a fortune and if I lost the case I would have to pay for my legal costs, my opponents legal costs and the court fees and that would come to many thousands of pounds.
I got a legal firm who advertises, No Win No Fee, they took it up and then after a few weeks of letters passing to and fro, they decided to pull out, I got another Legal firm who also advertise, No Win No Fee,
again after a few weeks they gave up. I decided to be my own Lawyer. I did a few letters to the shipping Company then they said they would go to the Admiralty Court in London. I figured that would cost me a lot of money, it would mean staying in a Hotel in London for as long as it takes, If I lost I would have to pay all their legal costs which would be in the Many thousands and that would wipe me out. plus the Court costs.

So I went to the Small Claims Court in Bolton at the Crown Court. Very simple, went to the desk, filled in a form, the reason for the case, and paid a one off fee of £108, A Judge makes the decision of who is right and who was wrong, NO MORE CHARGES and No paying the opponents legal costs if I lost.
I won, and was awarded £3,000.
So it is sometimes worth while going to the Small Claims Court, it is very simple and only a one off fee of £108, for claims of up to £10,000, No other charges.

If the EU was a truly united group then much of what is occurring would not be. Italy and Greece are being swamped with boat people, but the other members say, 'we do not want them'. Sop where do they go, back to where they came from maybe, but how? Why does the EU not put in some effort to look at why they are coming and attempt to correct the problems of the country of their origin? All in the too hard basket. Let them in, let them migrate within the EU until they reach the channel. Let them onto the ferry and the problem of the EU are no more.

Just reading the other day, a French family feeling sorry for a moo slim family took them in, within a few days the father in the moo slim family was advising the French father that he should make his daughter wear the hijab etc and curtail her going out etc, the moo slim family is now back on the street.

ivan any country we went to we were always warned the do's and don'ts of the place why is it anyone can come in and start complaining about our way of life? most come from mud roads poor housing no electricity running water hunger and disease yet drop their hook here and start laying the law down to us never mix and prefer to live in a ghetto type of community and yet if we say anything we are classed as racist what have we become?? jp

Unfortunately John, we have become pawns of the politicians who have sleep walked us into this current situation, and alas the young are oblivious to what is happening around them, as they have their heads stuck into their various forms of i-pads, i-phones, and cannot hear or see anything outside their limited vision or hearing. Asking them to listen to, or view the news would be like asking them to go to Mars, they wouldn't have a clue. Our youth have never experienced the near loss of their country so are not aware of pride in nationality and couldn't care less whether or not they are British or European as they are not aware of the difference. In a recent survey of 16 -24 year olds 19% actually thought that Germany was on our side during WWII, so what chance have we got.
