Re: How is yours
John,On this mornings news, they were discussing tourism.
Apparently Vancouver has broken all records in that department.
The highest increase was from the Australian visitors.
Guess they had seen Melbourne, and wanted to compare!!
Vancouver reminds me a lot of Durban.
Have to bring Doc over for his opinion on that one.

Re: How is yours
Hi Den, Canada is very popular with the Australians, mate of mine has been over there twice. The inside passage, an odd name, is very popular as a cruise for those who want to see the glaciers. Combination tours with the rail and cruise also are very popular.

Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.

Re: How is yours
John, The Inside Passage is the cruise between mainland Canada[West coast] and Vancouver Island.Very scenic as in site of land most of the way to Alaska.
Ships out of Vancouver do that trip.
Recently I went to Alaska via Seattle.
Those ships go up the west side of Vancouver Island with the open Pacific on the port side.
Not scenic at all.
Also US $$$

Must say that my trips up through the waterways around Vancouver Island to the various lumber ports were some of the most memorable and interesting from a scenic as well as navigational point of view

Re: How is yours
True Ivan,
Believe it or not.
It was remembering the scenery, that brought me to Canada.
No job to come too, just good memories.
Port Alberni still has the mill going.
Also some of the best salmon fishing in the world.
