Any other Country would have had a National day ?

May 1st, 1707, the Act of Union created the Kingdom of Great Britain uniting the Kingdoms of England and Scotland. For how much longer?

The new Parliament of Great Britain had a lot of work to do to harmonise laws, taxes and symbols. One of the first proclamations of Queen Anne related to a new flag for merchant ships. This flag, the red ensign, officially brought together the crosses of St George and St Andrew

    ALSO:

1945: German radio announces death of Adolf Hitler:

Germany is told that its Führer, Adolf Hitler, died the previous day 'fighting to his last breath against Bolshevism'.

Also, about the time Osama bin Laden was sent to oblivion. 1/2nd reports differ, maybe time zones.

No p take add Plaid Cymru to that list.

Heard something on the greens the other day, interested. Need to look further before I vote.

Monster Raving Loony Party: was near political banter or suicide chess.

Nice to have a NEAR normal conversation.

my main objection to the Green parties across Europe is Wind Farms and the Solar panels , I looked very closely into both of these in a project for a company around four years ago , the generated power , as it is "Carbon free " attracts a huge subsidy , without the subsidy it is not a viable enterprise , also the carbon balance in the environmantal Impact study omits the distribution network , again skewing the figures . I have recently been reading about raptor losses and In southern Spain, 252 wind turbines located in an area used by many birds of prey and on the migratory path of many large birds killed a 124 birds of prey in a year. At another location in southern Spain 256 turbines killed 30 griffin vultures and 12 common kestrels. So there is another environmental Impact ignored , Thjis makes me suspicious of some so called Green ideals

I strongly believe that we have allowed the factions within every party to have to much sway as to who becomes the figure head of the party (ie PM). Have always had this idea and can not seem to get it saluted here even after writing to the papers about it. When we go to the polling booth to vote we should not only be allowed to choose who we want as our candidate but each party should put forward at least three names for me to vote for as to who I want to lead that party. This would take away the faction fighting to get their own person chosen as PM and at the same time make the incumbent PM accountable to the electorate for past performance. This way the people could oust a crook PM but also retain the same party. Unlike the way we do it now where we have to oust out the whole bloody lot just to get rid of a penis head. I know it sounds to simplistic but for the life of me this system we have is totally crap especially here in Oz where it is compulsary to register that one has been there to cast a vote. Then when the majority of votes do not go the way that they like they then do preference deals to get the ones that they want in against the wishes of the people. Good luck with choosing your next lot of parasites because sure as eggs are eggs they will get the anus wipes that they want back in.
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.

Vote Plaid, will not talk to you further.

    THERES AN OFFER:

They may also have 1 vote.

UKIP: In the next round may end up showing up the others, not a bad thing. But the real stuff starts then.

Have concerns with the Emerald Isles, elections and results there are most important to me.

Mayor makings etc soon, are important too my work and plans.

Anyone who criticises the Con-Lib-Lab Labour junta is automatically labelled a "racialist", i.e. Neo-Nazi ! Unfortunately before much longer this will probably be the only way to regain control of our Country. Scots independence is just another description for secession from the U.K. and consequent total break up of Gt. Britain. Watching Salmond speaking on T.V. (English), his face is twitching and his eyes rolling, he looks to me like he should be in a rubber room, not in charge of a Country!
