I do not agree with homosexual Marriage in a Church, Try making the Mosque to do that.
If they want they can use the Register Office, many people get married there.
I still do not like it, and I have a niece who is "married" to her girl friend and they have adopted a young boy of about 8 years old at the time. He is a bit handicapped, a nice kid, but I give him toys to play with. I suppose if they had not adopted him he would still be stuck in a home until he is 18 then thrown opn the street, so at least some good has come out of it.
    .
I hate it when they say it is their sexual preference, so they must have their seperate Rights,
What about Other Sexual Preferences?. when will a Paedophile get his "Rights" or a Sado masochist or any other `Preferences.? will they be demanding their "Rights".?
So as long as they keep it out of the Church, or Mosque, no problems.
    Brian

In the time that i was on Union Castle Mail ships homosexuality had only just been decriminalised ashore in England and Wales , from 1967 for consenting adults over 21 , it was ten years later that the age of consent was reduced to 18 , and not until 1994 that it was decriminalised in the Merchant Navy , so think a lot of families hid their " Pink " sheep amongst the wingers . That law was cruel and discriminatory and needed repealing . From 1974 to 1983, the former Labour MP Patricia Hewitt was general secretary for the National Council for Civil Liberties (NCCL), when it granted "affiliate" status to the Paedophile Information Exchange (PIE). The PIE have been in the frontline to reduce the age of consent to 8 , and legalise incest . The problem is pressure and lobby groups , these people are all convinced they have rights , so any change , i honestly resist , as the more we change , the more minority groups will try and force a change on the silent majority . I personally don't care if consenting adults bugger each other all day , as long as I don't see it . But the PIE group well I would jail and flog the bar stewards who belong to organizations like it . The flogging would be done out of spite and not out of any sado masochistic tendencies

hi shipmates. I am against gay marriage, and arranged marriage, and any form of matrimony its a bad bet, today because most dont last so I will stick to B.O.T. the British merchant navy is the one to be on? But as the New pope Francis said" who am I to judge" But as far as church history tell us proper marriage in the christian tradition { quote} what is the sacrament of matrimony? it is a sacrament which sanctifies the covenant of a christian marriage and give special grace to love one another and bring up children in the fear of god... Dont tell my wife I said this been married for too long 39? years and no time off for good behaviour...

I could never understand why two hairy men have to get into each other.
When I see a beautiful young lady smelling of a nice perfume, smooth skin to stroke, in sexy clothes, suspenders ...... oooh I am getting excited now, How the hell can you fancy a big hairy a55ed fella?

As long as they don,t try and convert me I say the should be allowed to marry.
I think they should be allowed to leave wills etc to each other. Who say,s that they are correct or are we correct in our thoughts on marrage.
After watching that TV program " secrets of the Vatican" I think the so called moral church people should look inwards.
I know gay lads who have fostered long term kids and a better pair of parents you could not wish for.
Me " live and let live" I have never tried gay sex and at 72 I don't think I will bother now. There by the grace of god go I.

Or what do the say " He without sin cast the first stone"

On the same theme and expecting exocets just watched an Australian Customs programme where-in the male commander of the Customs Cutter was wearing diamond studded ear rings, sorry but not my scene, yes and I know that pirates of old were reputed to wear them, but just doesn't sit right with me in that job and position
