Re: Famous people from your town
Near local: Wales has a population of nearly 3 million, with over 300,000 people living in the City and County of Cardiff. So it is no surprise that so many notable Welsh people were born and bred here. Not all Cardiffians were from Cardiff, but those who devoted their lives to making Cardiff the City it is today, are just as important as those who were born here.

Showing my age ...... It was the famous Christine Keeler not Catherine as stated above. Well it was well over fifty plus years ago....... Sorry

Not really - just got ians on the end EG: Barrians, others have ers, such as London ers, there are many, odd would be onions: as in Oxford onions, onians, egians etc.
Had not really thought it odd before, we always talk of Cardiffians of Cardiff, Barrians in Barry etc at home.
Be interested in knowing of the term used for other Villages, towns and Cities etc.
