    What about the poor bloke born on a mountain top in Tennessee, was he the only famous one. Maybe his mother should claim that distinction. Cheers John S

    Speaking of Bob Hope which Keith was, he lived in Eltham South East London in Creighton Road. There is now a Blue Sign outside the house.
    Not long after WW2 a cousin of my mother lived with her husband in that house for three years. Some years late my brother and his family lived in the one next door.

    This bust of William Ewart Gladstone is opposite the park where John Pruden walks his dog.Gladstone was born in Liverpool but lived and was educated in Seaforth.And of course the captain of the Titanic lived just down the road from here at Waterloo,also other Titanic connections.
