I watched Michael Portillos Great Continental Railway Journeys today, where he journeyed from Copenhagen to Oslo and some very interesting facts from that episode are
1. Norway only became a truly independent country in 1905
2. The first King of Norway was from the British Monarchy
3. Swedish ship building was started by a Scotsman from Dundee
4. Sweden has one of only 5 recognised Scots dancing clubs outside of Scotland
5. The canal linking Goteborg to Stockholm was designed by Thomas Telford
(Been up it from Goteborg to Skoghall a few times, brilliant run)
6. Norway is the richest country in the world per capita.

so
apart from the dancing
where the bluddy hell did we go wrong!
