Re: The Truth About Immigration.
They don't know the truth John as our borders are leaking worse than the Titanic and there's nobody in the big house who has got the guts to launch a lifeboat to save our nation

Re: The Truth About Immigration.
Now don't be so unkind, I saw that nice Mr Cameron on TV telling the nation how good imigrants are for the nation. They work hard, bring in new cultures, increase the wealth of the nation, improve cultures, what more do you need?
I wonder what he was on when he said all that?

Re: The Truth About Immigration.
weather we think good bad or indifferent the amount of people coming here we just cant put them up simple. were is the homes that they can live in we have none ?were are the jobs so they can pay tax and insurance we have none. the hospitals are to small for an expanding country with bed blocking by the old that have nowhere to go? sort out that list before opening the doors these things have to be looked at not because we are told its the law to expand the population?jp

Re: The Truth About Immigration.
I don't have a problem per se with immigrants as long as they are prepared to work but I watched this programme this evening and I don't think it was a true representation of all immigrants to this country, [though stand to be corrected] The people shown seemed to be the dross of any society. Send back....The Indian/Pakistani immigrants that I'm aware of appear to be hard working going by
the opening hours of their stalls outside their shop fronts based in niche area's of Glasgow, mainly south and west end of the city itself and known locally as "little India" complete with traditional dress and puffa jackets to ward of the Scottish chill.
In my area Stirlingshire, an influx of Polish immigrants arrived around six years ago but now even their own food stores have closed bar one, and they too have gone, where I don't know! Surely local MP's can lobby to our government that unless immigrants have a skill which is required here or like in Ausrtalia were qualifications and a job to go to are essential then no entry. Will we ever be free of the legacy set up by Heath and sustained by Blair I live in hope.

Re: The Truth About Immigration.
As with any thing there are two sides to this argument. Migrants of the correct claibre can be very good for the nation, but they must be prepared to work and accept the terms and conditions of the country. None of the 'we want our own laws crap', that will do no good. Imigration must be conducted in an orderly manner with all coming in checked for many things such as health. But some do add to the colour of the country, and add to the wealth. Every new migrant will need a house, furniture, car etc and that can increase work possibilities for many. Then the culture, imagine if the Chines had not come, no Chinese restaurants, or the Indians with their curry! Done correctly it can be good, but sadly for UK it would appear the gov has lost the plot on this one, I wonder if they ever read the script?
