Re: I wish
Wish I hadn't paid that hooker in Port au Prince- left me with a legacy of painful experiences including passing broken glass and razor blades, not to mention an over zealous and inexperienced midshipman piercing my posterior with 10,000 cc's of penicillin. Seemed to work though- The Liverpool School Of Tropical Medicine aka Dr Ross, passed me fit. Just hope someone nailed a dead chicken to her door as a warning to clean up her act.

Used to take them out first Cappy. The old saying you were never a seaman until you had the experience 7 times. That's why I'm quite content to remain a landlubber. John S

Re: I wish
The last thing the Russians and the Chinese would have wished for, the U S Coastguard Ice Breaker 'Polaris' is on its way to free them from the ice. The Polaris can break ice 6 feet thick at three knots and ice 21 feet thick when using backing and ramming...........here come the cavalry, bet they'll be a welcome sight to the ordinary joe seamen though regardless of rescuers nationality. The U S Coastguard said they doing it because we are seamen and they are seamen, the spirit lives on and it's nice to hear, they are due to arrive on January 12th.

Re: I wish
Steak, Egg + Chips were always on my wish list especially on the Avenue Corrientes! Followed by a night of passion on Veinte Cinco De Mayo.
