Oh, for me how I wish Marion. Click on this link http://www.queenslandinsuranceoldies.org/careers.html and scroll down and you will understand why. To be with Ewan and Kate Duncan, 'Jummy' Reed, etc "will ye nae have a dram o' mine, Ruchard" would be wonderful.

To all who stops here May 2014 be one of the greatest.

#42....Dear Richard, I have had the great privilege of reading this before, now once again the pleasure is all mine. Come the spring months I will venture to the 'Auld Smiddy' and have a wee look around. If by any chance You or your family decide to return for a holiday, you would be most welcome here. Till then, My Very Best Wishes for A Healthy & Happy New Year. Slainte, Marian

Thank you so much Marion. We'd love to do that but our wandering days are now just wishful thinking. If in the future Estelle or Rick were to go your way then I know they would love to to drop by, but not to impose on your kind hospitality.

#15 Richard the job of percher was to have cloth rolled over a bar above one while looking for faults or slubs....ie checking the cloth was up to standard ....I had to do and learn so many jobs in the mill which were more boring than one can imagine......specially after my time at sea.....but this is what sometimes we must do fortoo keep a wife and child .....but from this monotony came a chance to rise above my expectations in life .....so in the long term it was for the good...regards cappy

Re Percher.... I knew that. Just used to spell it different searcher. Or could be derived from the White Cockatoo well known for its perching abilities. Hope you have left some of the mehico bier in the bottle shop Cappy. How many first footers are you expecting, or do you go to bed early. Heard on the grapevine that Marian maybe first footing you, so will have to warn Pat. All the best to you both for the new year, is now 1300 hrs so will probably start about 1500 hrs. and be dead (drunk) by 0015 hrs. have hidden the car keys so not going out to play. All the best from this end of the world and will be all over before you start. Cheers G and J S

#47 sorry john didn't answer your original question ......I don't sleep as much as I used to and many nights go to bed at 11 and am rested by 3 or4......then get up have a big mug of tea and wonder aboutthings in general.......but sadly never come to any conclusions worth talking about
