Re: Australian visas
I am hoping that a qualified navigator with a knowledge of cross channel turdal flows will confirm the theory

Re: Australian visas
It always flowed east and west when I was dredging in the Channel in the 80s.
Maybe the frogs have got it running north only into England.
I dont have a chart of the English Channel, I have one of Morecambe Bay if that is any use.
Cheers

Re: Australian visas
It does switch directions off the Isle every few hours , but I don't know how localised that is , but if we apply the Morecambe Bay principle how long does it take all the crap in Ulverston to get to Fleetwood , I 'll multiply it by two , and then that will be teh time to hit Cherbourg from here

Re: Australian visas
Hi Rob The distance is exactly 10 miles across from Fleetwood to Ulverston. so as the mean tidal range is 10.3 meters, and the tidal flow inbetween Neaps and Springs average 2.3 knots, there is your answer.
or summat like.
Cheers

Re: Australian visas
It is Unbelievable how a thread gets distorted, starting with advice about Australian Visas and end up transporting sewage across Morecambe Bay.
I wonder if any Shrink could find answers to that.
I am baffled. Must blame Cappy for that.
