Re: Every little helps.
louis, i re read the thread you sent in, at least you had the good fortune to get a cheque for 50p. most scams on the go these days inform you that a prize is yours if you send in a set amount to cover admin charges. now that would really piss a person off when nothing comes of it except a depleted bank account.
regards, stan

Jim see #6 it served me well, also served a lot of other seamen well as I received numerous phone calls from all over the UK thanking me for the letters published and even one British Legion who said they would now ensure that the Red Ensign was flown at their branch on each September 3rd. So if they want to laugh at me they can, thousands died to give them that right. No other paper published my letters.

Re: Every little helps.
Just had a quick look at it.Story about fights in Tesco over cut price veg "Shocking" said local MP she did'nt witness the fights she was told by one of her constituents.
Tesco have had to hire extra security, staff have been attacked, customers robbing from each others baskets. As always it never gives anybody's name.tomorrow there may be a story that Tesco deny this happening. This time of the year they normallly carry stories that Town councils have cancelled christmas and it is always "a spokesperson said" never a name, the next day a person from the council comes on gives a name and the story is disproved.

Re: Every little helps.
Ivan, the Mail and the Mail On Sunday were always my prefered paper,I could never do those cryptic clue crosswords I prefer quiz words so I find the Mirror good for this and for the horse racing and sport. We have a phone in here on Radio Merseyside if somebody comes on with some far fetched story they are always asked "Did you read that in the Mail" funny enough the answer is usually yes.My daughter in law reads the Mail on line I find her politics very, very much far right sometimes unbelievable,so i never get into a discussion with her regarding politics.
Regards.
