Tell us what you think does rather open a door.
But to some extent I agree with the sentiment of Roger. Sadly we all tend to drift off key a bit and that is something i do not think we can avoid. You could censor all non post commenst but that would then stop a lot from posting anything. I think we have to take the rough with the smooth as thta my good froend is life.

Re: Non seafarers, tell us what you think.
Perhaps this thread should be renamed "Hide & Seek"....No wish to be a party pooper n' all but the only non seafarer who actually answered John's post was Jacyn!! and she's been deleted.

Re: Non seafarers, tell us what you think.
Hide & Seek might indeed be an appropriate name, Marian. I actually wasn't deleted from the other thread, but all after my post was.
To John Albert Evans: I think your post was a great one and I, for one, was pleased to be asked an opinion. Thank you.
To Doc and Tony: Might I make a suggestion? If the thread is aimed at visitors and non-seafarers, perhaps making it a "sticky" would keep it front and centre for visitors to see. Hopefully that way, John may garner more replies to his question.

I thought that might happen, Tony, and I don't disagree with it. As suggested above, maybe a "sticky" is warranted for this thread.
Cheers,
Jacyn

as to calling it hide and seek, why not "yo yo"? a bit more nautical perhaps.

Drifting off course, how many times has the skipper told you to take more notice of the charts you use? No wonder we get lost at times
