Yes, Jim but more relevant to this just look at the predominantly Catholic population in the Phillippines. Lovely people, but abject poverty and corruption,on a par with India and Pakistan, and birth rates accordingly similar to African nations-where of course Catholicism is not the 'problem'- it's the African mentality towards not having birth control, there they just hope that the more children they have that survive will look after them in their old age
The Phillippine population like many a poor nation embrace Catholicism to believe that their God will enhance their lives and that means obeying His teachings and not stopping daddy's semen from procreating.
For their obedience and devotion,God sends them tempests and famines.........

Re: Phillippines.
sadly an awfull lot of financial aid is syphoned off before it gets down to the people that really need it by the polititians and banks that hold the donations . just like water on a lawn an awfull lot of it evaporates before it gets down to the roots .

Re: Phillippines.
Gulliver.with regards your #8. I am sick and tired of all the begging adverts you see on TV. some of those African kids are probably married with kids of their own now, but they still show their pictures. I didn't know we had enough donkeys to support at least three charities, then the tigers, lions and any others they can think of, I would not give to any of them. the donkey ones are probably in spain which ill treats them. if they had done some sterilization in the fifties there wouldn't be so many African kids starving now.
