Re: Storms all over!
h Vernon. hope you and Irene are ok, and I hope the fires stay well away from you. my dad was a fireman and sometimes after my mum had gone out he would set the chimney alight to clear it of ash and soot etc. sometimes it got out of hand and he always had plenty of salt to throw on it to kill the flames. so Vernon old mate get yourself some salt. haha

Backsheesh runs the World
people talking about you is none of your business

Re: Storms all over!
Chimney fires can be quite frightening!
Came home from work one day, about a mile away, fire engine in middle of road, blue lights flashing, driver studying an A-Z, 'where you looking for', says I, reads out my street name, then the actual address, followed by chimney fire, 'that's my place says I - FOLLOW ME'.

Re: Storms all over!
People talk about storms bad weather and the greens get in with climate change. Its not so long back that some mad professor came out that mobile phones could give you a brain tumor. If this is the case I would suggest it will not be too long before someone gets off the bandwagon and stops blaming carbon emissions and turns to blaming all the electronic emissions given out by Emails and computers, they must have some effect on the air waves somewhere or other. Science is still and always will be a means of discovery and as more and more is disclosed who knows what lies in wait for us. John Sabourn
