The NHS in a day
What a great program and a National Health service to be proud of.
We could have something similar over here if it wasn't for the many layers of management , beaurocracy and
doctors , consultants who , for the most part , act as haughty , arrogant prima donnas.

This NHS in a day.
Quote by John C.A National Health Service to be proud of unquote. I can hardly put my feet on the floor at present unless I fill myself with Solpadol pain killers,I am being treated for goute which I don't think it is and I wanted a second opinion and requested to see a specialist. The earliest date that I can get to even get an assessment is the 16th June I told the person on the phone if I can walk by then I hope to be in Croatia on holiday. It is being said now that the A&E is getting clogged up by people like me who don't wish to wait a month and are taking themselves off to A&E to circumvent the system and this is causing chaos in A&E for both the staff and patients.A NHS to be proud of,I don't think so and with the further cut backs that are due it will get worse,I believe pineapple juice and pineapple is good for treating goute so I have been out today and bought some cans of it I think I have more chance with the pineapple than the NHS.

Gout!!!! Oucccch!!
Hello Jim
Not sure if i am reading this correctly but i too have suffered Gout for many Years, and it is damn painfull indeed!
At one stage in life i had to crawl on hands an knees to get around!
Anyway after a lot of investigation etc i was at last relieved of this horrid painfull sate by an Indian Doctor!
He prescribed me both Indocid and Zyloprim Tablets!
The Indocid to be taken untill the pain subsided, and then one a day of the Zyloprim ,this keeps the Crystalisation in the joints from forming, and thus far Jim i have been free of the dreaded Gout for many Years now!
Also there are as you may well know things to watch that you Eat and Drink!
Firstly if you allready have a bout of Gout ,then dont eat any Tomatoes it just makes it worse!
Also stay clear of any High protein Foods especially Fish,Eggs and the likes!
Also dont drink any Beer ig you allready have Gout attack!
I am not sure on that Pineapple,i say this as it also contains an ammount of Acid, and that is no good either!
Gout is (again as you may know) the buildup of Uric Acid which then forms into Crystals in the joints!
You must be very very carefull with Gout,as it can cause lifetime deformaties in Joints! Beware!!
Once the Gout is under control ,and as long as you keep the Zyloprim Tablets up one once a day,you will find that after some time you will again be able to Eat most things in moderation!
Hope this helps you Jim!
Cheers

The NHS in a day.
Thanks for the info Vernon.I am my own worst enemy when it comes to beer I drink the worst thing of them all BITTER.I dropped down to mild as most doctors used to say mild wont do you any harm the gout did ease off but then came back with a vengance.I am going out tomorrow so I will have a go at the lager see how I go on that.I've had various tablets from the doctor which seemed to make it worse.I read the side affects on one lot of tablets and it said "Can cause gout" you couldn't make it up, such is the state of our NHS.
Regards.

That may have been the case a few years ago in the U.K. not these days my friend the coalition have been warned today by doctors hospital administrators and just about every other medical buff change the system or literally bring it to its knees within the next six months.Regards Terry.
