potholes,bedroom tax, food banks,
What are the views of our Members on these 3 issues, ?.Personally i have never known another UK Goverment who have imposed so many petty Restrictions and Rules as this lot, they seem to take delight in taking away our freedoms and choices, targeting the low paid and pensioners, a third of what is collected in road taxis spent on the roads, now another tax on bedrooms, food banks are necessary in 2013, thats an insult, but billions given to asia and africa, ? ? ?

"Bedroom Tax"
The term "bedroom tax" is a complete Labour Party/BBC fabrication. If you are on housing benefit and have empty rooms in your rented flat, you won't get so much money for nothing. We've been handed a sh#t sandwich and we all got to take a bite ! The Opposition claque always think that if they repeat a mantra , often enough, it will come to pass!

the bedroom tax if the local government gave people the incentive to move or even the option some will move if asked but to just slap a tax on a house you may have lived in for many years is wrong. if we had known the mandate of the powers that be they would not have got anywhere near downing street. i think a lot will get a shock at the next election the people are finally waking up to what is going on with our land we can see right through the gang of them.jp

The bedroom tax is not a tax at all. A tax is a levy imposed by the State on the earnings of an individual or a company, or it is added to certain purchased goods. The ‘bedroom tax’ is a deduction in benefit. Pensioners and disabled are exempt
From next month, if you are a council or housing association tenant, and in receipt of housing benefit, you will lose 14 per cent of your benefit if you have one unoccupied bedroom and 25 per cent if you have two.The first purpose of the measure is to free up under-occupied flats or houses — in which, for example, a middle-aged couple may have one or two empty spare rooms — so that families which have need of those rooms can move in. The change applies only to those on housing benefit.Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, said the Coalition's proposal to cap benefit increases at one per cent a year for three years would propel many children into poverty There is also a potential saving to the enormous £23 billion-a-year cost of housing benefit of about half a billion pounds, or just over two per cent of the budget. An ever-growing number of people — the elderly, the disabled, foster parents, those with children away fighting for the Forces — will be exempt.Even so, there is no denying it is a tough measure. Moving out of a property you have occupied for years is obviously far from ideal. Nor is losing part of your benefit if you elect to stay put.But the Government’s justification is that there will be a greater use of unoccupied bedrooms, as well as a relatively small, though welcome, saving in the overall welfare budget, which stands at some £200 billion. A single lady of my acquaintance lives in a three bedroom council house and has lived in the same house for over thirty eight years , she could have bought that house for under £7000 , but did not want to buy it as her housing benefit was a great advantage . There is a shortage of three bedroom houses in this area , Before I get told it I KNOW Maggie Thatcher Sold them off . There are people living with teenage kids of different sexes , in the same bedroom , why does that woman have a right to the house , she is renting it , so if she wants to keep it , cut the horsing benefit , I do not have a problem with that , she could house swap to teh two bedroom flat that is currently overcrowded

Who replaces them John?? at the next election.
There is No One fit for government. get rid of one lot you get just the same with the next lot.
Only a Radical change of politics would change things, BUT in UK the attitude is.... I vote Labour cos me Dad voted Labour and his Dad before him. They stand for t` working class.
Not any more they do. All that front bench on the Opposition are all Millionaires, all had privilidged backgrounds. They do not give a damn about the Working Classes.
There is no difference between the parties. Labour had 13 years in power and made a complete mess of the country, It is no use blaming Thatcher, it is 20 years since she was in. Bliar and Brown destroyed this country for 13 years. They had a chance of correcting Thatchers mistakes and didnt.
I give up on Politicians. I have NO Representative in Parliament, My ****** Labour MP who cares more for ******s in Saudi Arabia than her constituants, sees to that.
My Town Councillors are also ****** Labour Party.
I have No one to Vote for. not just here but also in many many parts of Britain.
I despair.
Brian.

potholes,bedroom tax,food banks.
It's a waste of time trying to have a Party Political Broadcast on here we all have our views and we will never change the views of others, quite rightly so.I disagreed with the so called Mansion Tax,why should somebody with a large house be penalised and made to pay extra tax on that home.As regards to the Bedroom Tax,a rose by any other name, call it what you want it is still a deduction in the benefit of less fortunate people. Before you all shout "Tough" on that scrounger lets look at the facts. If the "Scrounger" said yes I agree with the government on this I will go and see my local council tomorrow and ask them to downsize me and so I will free up this three bedroom house so some asylum seekers can move their big family in get rent free and recieve all the benefits.Joking aside if all over occupied tennants went to their council tomorrow and asked to downsize (no matter what part of the country) the task to the council would be impossible because ther is no two bedroom and one bedroom accommadation available. So what it amounts to it is a drive to get the welfare budget down and nothing less. What amuses me is why are private landlords not affected,it is only social housing where this tax comes into play.Who are these private landlords?I wonder!!!Do asylum seekers in these private rented houses recieve the full rent????.
Regards.

Hi shipmates, I dont understand this Con/libdem government, Food banks for bread-line brits,??? our troops are killed in Afganistan? fighting ****** terrorist when all they draft dodgers are here as illegals on free home office hand-outs? we give equipment to terrorist groups in Syria and prince Charles and cammy go to see the victims in reffugee camps in Jordan? The U.K. gives Aid to Pakistan/ India as Mr Cameron said we have an unbreakable bond with Pakistan? and the U.S.A. use drone bombs to kill innocent bystanders? Also we have war criminals/ from across the world living in the U.K. with home office handouts? Why because it cost £25,000 to deport one of them, We all live in a country that seems to have no plans. but to make us all pay more tax with fewer and fewer rights and services .The buy to let landlords and one of the biggest is a son of a tory M.P are doing great!!!
