Re: Memories............
Some very interesting stories about the old days it was not a crime to be poor in them days and i think it learnt us more to value those things not like some of the younger generation now .
i am sure that not of us would like to go back to those days
The standard of living these days is a far better off now so lets not moan about the different governments we will never get a government to suit every one .
We should be thank full that we can moan about these things i am sure a lot of my old mates would have liked to have had the opportunity to do these things .
i must be getting soft in my old age saying there things but it is the way i feel

Re: Memories............
School teachers... I have a daughter who has a 1st class honours in a Bachelor of Education Degree. I remember in her early days of teaching 7 year olds she used to come home almost in tears. She admitted to being terrified of some of these small children who threatened and swore like troopers at her and anyone else in authority. It really shows what background these children came from. As the school was in an area where most of the populance were doing prison terms it is easy to see where their knowledge was gained. There is a certain large proportion of Gt. Britain who are no hopers and as in other posts, everyone looks for excuses for. They have no excuse whatsoever and are born nowadays with exactly the same opportunities as most others. They are a burden on society and should be made to work or stay permanently behind bars with no luxuries and buried in cardboard boxes. JS

Re: Memories............
In reply to my own post, in the 50s and 60s in Buenos Aires we were utilized to keep the city clean to a certain aspect. Being picked up at the night clubs down 25 de Mayo was usually not unexpected, we were then marshalled into cleaning gangs and swept the streets and any other mundane job that came along, this was with there being no apparent crime committed. Those languishing in British gaols or refusing work and only being interested in receiving their now monetary entitlements, are quite able to do the same, if they want paying. This wishy washy idea of a persons rights, are dependant on that person wanting to fit into a progressive society which has no place for louts and pure laziness laced with corruption and pure self gratification. You want paying then you work for it. JS
